Glostrup Ejendomsselskab is initiating various construction works in the area of climate adaptation. In this project, rainwater from all the residential housing blocks along Vestergårdsvej is directed along water conduits to a large granite channel, which runs along the entire length of the road. The water is then sent to newly dug ponds and trenches in open areas towards the sea. The channel is bordered by planting of meadow, marsh and aquatic plants. Water is also harvested in large, concealed tanks for the purposes of car washing and watering gardens.
