The main concept in our winning design is an overriding structure consisting of pedestrian streets and areas laid with granite paving, with longitudinal stripes which create cohesion between the heart of the town – from the riding school in the south to the cinema in the north. The ‘cultural surface’ breaks up the long stretch and provides contrasts in the forms of the large granite paver designs that unite the main squares and cultural institutions of the town. The proposal puts forward a town centre fitted out in materials and furniture of a simple design and high quality.
