Waterfall Frederiksberg Have

Project

The park ’Frederiksberg Have’ dates back to the 18th century, and a waterfall was one of its attractions at that time. It was only in use for a couple of years, then being almost forgotten and hidden under a layer of soil and shrubbery, until it was recreated in 2003. When Copenhagen City Museum started excavating the site, a large number of ashlars had disappeared, but fortunately parts of the masonry and gutter towards the canal were still partly intact. A thourough reconstruction followed, aiming at the appearance of the new waterfall as shown on old drawings of the site
